Perinatal Loss: Week 2
Location: 216 Montreal Road Cornwall, ON K6H 1B4
6 Weekly Sessions
Perinatal Loss is described as “The Silent Grief”. Perinatal Loss is a loss during pregnancy or shortly after birth, due to miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death or SIDS. Pregnancy & Infant Loss is a frequent, yet often misunderstood experience for many parents. Understanding is needed as is the acknowledgement of the loss of a very real baby. Very often, the people around these parents do not know what to say and avoid the subject altogether.
This program is led by trained facilitators who also have experienced a Perinatal Loss. Numerous studies have shown that the best help for a bereaved person is another person who has lived through that experience and rebuilt his or her life.
Program includes a workbook with home and journaling activities to help participants meet their objectives.
