Bereaved Families of Ontario-Cornwall held its Annual General Meeting on September 29th, 2016. We wholeheartedly thank Knox-St. Paul’s United Church for the use of their location for this event and for many other events throughout the year. It is comforting for BFO to know that we have a place to hold our events where attendance is beyond the number that our office can accommodate.
Our accountant, Andrew Shannon, gave us a clear picture of our financial status. He stated the significant funding cut we experienced in 2015 and commended the Board of Directors for making some difficult decisions to ensure the survival of the agency. He also congratulated the Staff, Facilitators and Volunteers for working so many hours to continue to offer the Programs & Services, while keeping expenses to a minimum.
As a final item of business, BFO recognised Rachelle Lamond, one of Board Members and Volunteer, for her 12 years of service with the agency. Rachelle, we wish you all the best in your “retirement from retirement”.
